Panasonic Lumix DC-FZ80 Review
Last Update: Jul 11, 2021
This is a quick review of a new camera I picked up, the Panasonic Lumix FZ-380. It’s a point and shoot digital camera, and I decided to review it and tell everyone what’s it all about.
I’m a content creator, and I originally wanted to use it for streaming or face on video type content. It didn’t work exceptionally well for this with my lighting conditions, so I went with another camera.
However, for certain uses, this camera is fantastic, and I had to share how much I like it.
TL;DR It’s the best point and shoot camera you’ll find in this price range.
Video Quality
I have created a video here, 100% filmed with the DC-FZ80:
The video quality for this is outstanding.. so long as you have enough light. So in well-lit rooms indoors, and outside it’s great.
It has excellent stabilization and zoom, though you want to put it on a tripod if you zoom far away.
Pictures
Overall with pictures, it does great. Whether up close or 100 yards away, it provides excellent quality. Here are some samples:
I took all these pictures with the Panasonic Lumix DC-FZ80. I’m impressed with this camera for the price range.
One thing I really liked about it, you can shoot stuff in auto all day without thinking about it, or you can switch to manual and change a multitude of items. This camera is perfect for the beginner to advanced photographer.
Who Should Get This camera
Folks wanting to get into photography who aren’t ready to or able to shell out a bunch of money for gear. This camera comes with everything you need to get started right out of the box.
It’s cheap enough to be entry-level, but quality enough to take nice pictures and the more you learn about it, the better you’ll get.
You can take professional-level quality pictures with this camera.
The Pros
- Excellent image quality
- Records in 4k well

The Cons

Conclusion
So you should watch this video for a more detailed review, but my conclusion is: this camera is well worth the money. You can pick one up for around $300, and I am not aware of a better camera in this price range.
If you’re thinking of getting an excellent point and shoot digital camera, this would be a great one to pick.
